First Apartment in 30 years!

Location: Elko New Market

Category: Shelter

Story

James has experienced an extended period of homelessness and is now reaching an important milestone—after more than 30 years, he has been approved for his first apartment. This transition comes after significant health challenges, including relocating from the West Coast to Minnesota to access critical care for a serious heart condition.

Through perseverance, resilience, and a consistently positive attitude, James has worked hard to reach stable, permanent housing in Southern Minnesota. As he prepares to move in, he is in need of basic household items to help make his apartment safe, functional, and comfortable.

Support from the community can play a vital role in helping James successfully transition into this next chapter. Contributions of essential furnishings and supplies will directly support his stability, health, and continued progress.
