Story
I work with a client who serves on various committees as a member with lived experience. She uses an unreliable refurbished laptop to attend virtual meetings and often has issues with her computer. Unfortunately, this leads to missing many of her meetings and causes a great deal of stress for her. This client is housed with assistance from a permanent supportive housing voucher and prior to securing her apartment three years ago, was residing in our shelter program and experiencing HUD homelessness. She has a limited, fixed income and does not have the extra funds to purchase one for herself. Having this need met will ensure she is consistently able to use her voice as a person with lived experience.
