For 148 years, The Family Partnership (TFP) has been a cornerstone of support for children and families across Minneapolis. Through early childhood education, family home visiting, and advocacy, TFP works to break intergenerational cycles of poverty and trauma — meeting families where they are and walking alongside them toward stronger, more stable futures.
One of the most immediate and pressing needs TFP sees every day is simple: families don’t have enough food. For parents already navigating trauma, housing instability, or the demands of raising young children, an empty refrigerator isn’t just a hardship — it’s a barrier to everything else. When basic needs go unmet, children can’t learn, parents can’t heal, and progress stalls.
