Winter Gear for Toddlers

Location: Bloomington

Category: Babies, Clothes

Story

Two little toddlers ages 1 1/2 and 3, are full of energy and giggles — but this winter, their family will be struggling to keep them warm. Their dad was recently laid off from his job, and while he searches for new work, every dollar is going toward rent, food, and keeping the lights on.

That means there’s nothing left for the winter gear these kids will need soon— warm coats, boots, hats, and mittens to face the cold months ahead.

Something as simple as a coat can make the difference between staying healthy or getting sick, between playing outside or being stuck indoors.

While all children grow at their own pace, some children experience delays in development. Special health conditions may also affect development. Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) offers information, support and referral services to help at no cost to families. ECSE programs provide supports and services to infants, toddlers, and preschool children with a delay or disability and their families.
